In light of the coronavirus, our HOA annual meeting will be held virtually via Zoom at 2:30 p.m. on January 17, 2021. A meeting link will be sent via email on January 6.
Looking back at 2020
Construction continued during the year. Building contractors submitted plans and permit fees as required.
An additional drain was installed on McLaurin to address drainage issues.
Invoices for the 2021 HOA dues will be emailed in January. The dues will be $660. Those who choose to pay monthly will pay $55.00 per month. We would like to encourage everyone to utilize the online payment system; you may pay either by credit card or ACH (directly from your checking account). Your personal information will be safe; it will not be stored by the HOA. You will re-enter your payment information each time you make a payment.
GroupMe
A GroupMe has been created for messaging among the Wild Briar community members. It is free to join. This group will be monitored/moderated infrequently initially, and later on an as-needed basis. As such, it is important to note that for now this is an “unofficial” group and will NOT be the place for formal questions/concerns/complaints to the HOA. Officer Nominations
Currently we have the following four officers: President, Phil McEntire; Vice President, Will Evans; Secretary, Nancy Duran; Treasurer, Lisa Fuller.
Will Evans is moving, and will be stepping down as Vice President. Dale Conner will serve as interim Vice President. Those wishing to nominate officers in our association, please contact Secretary Nancy Duran via email at w.b.hoa2018@gmail.com by January 4. The ballot link will be emailed on January 6 along with the HOA meeting link.
Reminders from your Board
Your board members are passionate about keeping our development the best lake community in the county. As such, it takes work from each and every lot owner. To that end, we have compiled a checklist of items that are embedded in our covenants and by-laws. Your 2021 board will be addressing how to insure that we all follow the rules to maintain the appearance and beauty of Wild Briar. Some of the items are listed below:
All lot owners are to keep their lots cut.
Trash receptacles are to be removed from the street after garbage collection and put in proper place.
When considering modification to one’s home, plans must be submitted to ARC per the procedure posted on our website. This includes docks, shoreline stabilization, and outdoor additions, etc.
No continuous on-street parking of vehicles or trailers.
Have and maintain the proper mailbox. At this time we still have one non-conforming mailbox and several with improper numbering systems, etc. Numbers for home addresses are available from Gentry Signs at 9 Lynn Lane, Starkville for $18.00 per set. Their phone number is 662-323-3652
